We hope that you find our website helpful and informative. Thatto Heath Playdays is a family business run by Laura and Mark Ashton. Our team is highly qualified and experienced in working with young children. We pride ourselves in providing high quality care to help your child develop to their full potential; catering for children from 2 to 5 years old. Our staff team are dedicated to ensure children feel loved and secure in the absence of their parents.
We create a warm, safe and secure environment where children feel at ease to learn through their own play and interests. We believe children should be given first hand real experiences and resources that are stimulating for them to experiment, explore, and learn to be independent. We value that learning takes place through enhanced play opportunities and that children’s play reflects their wide range of varied interests.
We are committed to working in partnership with parents and families when providing for the needs of your child whilst in our care and to ensure they are happy and content. We are an open and approachable team that looks for input to our ideas to create a home from home experience. We invite parents into our nursery to read to our children and join in with stay and play sessions.

Our Nursery
Thatto Heath Playdays is situated in Nutgrove Community Centre, a property which has been purpose built for a children’s nursery. The nursery has two large rooms, a sensory/sleep room and a large outdoor play area. We are open 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday, we are registered with Ofsted to take 39 children between the ages of 2 -5 years. We run an afterschool service from Nutgrove school and St Austins school every evening we also run a holiday club for children aged 4 -11 years during school holidays.
In April 2022 we were inspected by Ofsted and we recieved OUTSTANDING in all areas. Click here to view our report.

Our Location
We are situated in a great location in Thatto Heath. We are next to Nutgrove Methodist Church and Nutgrove Methodist school. We have strong links with all local schools in the area.
